Mommy & Me
Ages 15 months - 2 years old

Toddlers along with their parent/guardian will dance together while focusing on rhythm, steady-beat, imagination, music, and fun! This class is structured to stimulate coordination skills, listening skills, balance, musical interpretation, creative movement, and motor development in our youngest dancers. This 30-minute class is an excellent introduction to the world of dance and music. This class does not participate in the recital.

Pre School Ballet
Ages 2 ½ - 3 years old

This class is a child’s first introduction to independent creative movement and ballet. This class is structured to stimulate coordination skills, listening skills, balance, musical interpretation, and motor development in our youngest dancers.

Ballet/Tap Combo
Ages 4 - 5 years old

Students will continue to learn how to express themselves and work on fine-motor skills through the art of both dance and music. This combination class continues to develop the foundation of ballet and introduces the beginning steps of tap.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz Combo
Ages 6 - 7 years old

In this hour and a half class students focus on getting ready to transition from combination type classes to full hour classes in a specific style of dance. In ballet dancers will continue to expand their terminology and skill set, in tap they will focus on developing more intricate rhythmic patterns, and in jazz they will focus on learning flexibility and balance.

Ballet/Pointe
Ages 8 and Up

Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. Proper ballet technique will improve all dancers strength, balance, posture, control, flexibility and rhythmic timing. Each class will emphasize barre exercises with center floor work and across-the-floor combinations. Teachers will evaluate students for proper placement in pointe.

Lyrical/Contemporary
Ages 8 and Up

Lyrical/Contemporary is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. This form of dance uses the technique and beauty of ballet while incorporating the sharp moves in jazz. Dancers are taught to tell a story through their movement and facial expressions. This class includes a warm-up focusing on core strength and flexibility in addition to floor work, progressions, and center combinations that focus on dance as much as it does storytelling.

Jazz
Ages 8 and Up

Jazz is an energetic type of dance that uses sharp movements to develop strength and coordination and control over each part of the body. Jazz can range in various styles from the excitement of funk and rock to the catchy tunes of Broadway. This class includes a warm-up focusing on flexibility, stretching, and isolations and progresses into across the floor and combinations.

Tap
Ages 8 and Up

Tap is a rhythmic class that focuses on executing percussive footwork. This class will have an emphasis placed on precision, speed, and clarity of sound while executing rhythmic patterns. Rhythm and musicianship skills are essential to building a solid dance education, but even more important in a tap class.

Musical Theatre
Ages 7 and Up

Musical Theatre allows students to explore the art of the triple-threat: being a dancer, singer, and actor. Emphasis is placed on developing overall performance skills in addition to learning elements of all the disciplines. Students will learn how to execute choreography, sing both individual and group songs, and read a monologue or participate in a group scene. Students will focus on connecting with the audience and tell a story through their performance in any discipline.

Hip-Hop
Ages 6 and Up

Hip Hop class is an excellent choice for high-energy students who want to dance and have fun to popular music. This class encourages students to bring their own individual style and personality to their movement. They will learn age appropriate hip-hop dancing and be challenged to think on their feet. Hip-Hop is fast-paced and focuses on strength and agility, along with free style movements of breaking, locking, and popping.

Acro/Tumbling
Ages 5 and Up

Acrobatics and tumbling combine elements of both dance and gymnastics to execute precision acrobatic elements. Students will focus on building strength, flexibility, balance, muscle control, discipline, and concentration. They will also learn fundamental acrobatic techniques such as handstands, forward and backwards rolls chin and elbow stands, cartwheels, back bends, walkovers, and contortion tricks. Students will be taught based on their own personal ability.

SLT (Stretch Leaps and turns)
Ages 8 and Up

Stretch, Leaps, and Turns or “SLT” is strictly a technique class that is dedicated to learning and perfecting jumps, leaps, and turns. Students learn beginner through advance turns and leaps and focus on building proper technique, form and placement. Stretching is integrated throughout the class to improve flexibility and range of motion. This class focuses on growth, strength, and personal development. This class does not participate in the recital.

Strength and Conditioning
Ages 13+

This class focuses on cardiovascular conditioning, muscular endurance, and strength training. Students will focuses on building core strength and increasing endurance and flexibility through a variety of exercises. Dancers are athletes and just like athletes they deal with risk of injury. By conditioning dancers it helps to improve their power and range of motion while teaching them the appropriate way to use their bodies. This class does not participate in the recital.

Creative Expressions
Ages 3 and Up

Creative Expressions is a dance program designed to help individuals with special needs. This program consists of fun, exciting, and active classes that will allow children to express themselves in a safe and nurturing environment. This class will also focus on creating peer interaction through various evidence-based practices. Students will learn creative movement and target fine-motor skills while incorporating dance movements to promote physical activity. This program is broken down into four (4) week rotations throughout the year. This class does not participate in the recital.

KinderTheatre
Ages 5-6

We will harness your child’s imagination by exploring through games and group activities. Working with friends, they will learn the importance of teamwork and creativity. The class will dive into their favorite fairytales and children’s stories and bring them to life! Your child’s imagination will open to a world they only dreamed of.

Junior Acting
Ages 7-10

Children will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of acting while developing and exploring in a supportive environment. By digging into the basics of acting, your child will have the chance to build confidence, work as an ensemble, focus on concentration, and open up their eyes to the world of the stage. They will see the potential they have in discovering their own voice and performing in front of an audience.

Acting for the Stage
Ages 11-17

With a deep concentration in scene, monologue, and improv work, students will take a close look at what it takes to perform onstage. While surrounded by an enthusiastic and caring ensemble, students will find that spontaneity and teamwork are what make the stage fun. They will be encouraged to take risks and let their creative sparks fly through storytelling.

Ages 5-8

By introducing them to pitch, melody, and rhythm, your child will learn the proper technique in performing a plethora of musical genres. Applying the basics of voice gives your child the opportunity to have fun while performing in a healthy and enthusiastic setting.

Irish Step Dance
Ages

Originating in Ireland, Irish dancing is a traditional dance form that encompasses a wide variety of styles for solo, pair, and group dances. Made popular by the world-famous show "Riverdance," Irish step dancing is characterized by a stiff upper body and quick, precise movements of the feet. Irish stepdances can be divided depending on the type of shoe worn: hard shoe and soft shoe dances. Irish stepdances include reels, slip jigs, hornpipes, and jigs. (more…)
